Father Brian Beal
Parochial Vicar
Education: Masters Degree from Franciscan University of Steubenville
I grew up in a family of six in Hermitage, Pennsylvania. I was recruited to play tennis at Ohio State University. I graduated from Ohio Dominican with a degree in Theology in 2000. After graduation, I served as a lay missionary. In this type of work, I evangelized to persons on the streets, to residents at drug and alcohol recovery centers, and to persons in convalescent homes. In 2002 I helped Immaculate Conception Parish to start Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration. During this time I sensed a call to the priesthood. I joined the Fathers of Mercy religious community in 2003. In 2004 I was hired as Executive Director of Pro-Life of Mercer County, and continued in that capacity until 2014. During that sequence, I helped to establish another nonprofit, Missionaries of Purity, and obtained a Master’s Degree in Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville. In 2015 I entered Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary as a second career vocation. I was ordained a priest in 2019 at age 41. My first two years of priestly service were in Chillicothe, followed by two years in Portsmouth. I am happy to now be apart of the parish family of St. Thomas and St. Nicholas. I enjoy God alone time, mountain climbing, visiting national parks, hiking, spending time with family/friends, and sunbathing.Keri Dailey
